My path

I’m currently training as a mechanic at the Truck Academy in Helmond. I chose this training because I have always had a passion for trucks. I also interested in cars, but trucks are more challenging. When I was younger, I wanted to become a driver, but since my internship at BAS I have been determined to become a mechanic. My training at the Truck Academy lasts four years and I am currently still in my first year. I chose the BBL course. This means that I attend school one day a week and work as an intern four days a week. My mother is a driver and knows the workshop manager. This is how the ball started to roll and I ended up at BAS for my internship.

This motivates me..

Working with my great colleagues gives me energy. There is a great atmosphere at the BAS Truck Center workshop! I can work on many of the beautiful trucks that pass by every day. It’s great when you need to tinker with the engine of the truck because you then usually need to solve big issues. A leak or a broken engine, for example.

Proud of..

I often receive compliments from my colleagues because I work precise and neatly. I have not been on the team for long so it’s great to hear that they value my work.
