If you ever passed by the BAS Tilburg service location, you probably noticed there is a lot of construction and renovation going on in the service facility. BAS Tilburg will not only become larger and more beautiful, but will also be more efficiently designed and expanded with three completely new work lines and two grease pits. This way, the team will be able to work even more efficiently in the coming years in a completely renovated building with more spacious workplaces.
Fair is fair. The location had already been in use for a number of years and was really in need of an upgrade. Much has been demanded of the building over the years. New services were added, our working methods have changed and the demand for maintenance has increased. To speak in technical terms: the building no longer passed the MOT.
To continue providing service at the highest level, a plan was drawn up for the renovation and expansion of BAS Tilburg. The renovation of the location is an improvement not only for our customers, but also for the BAS Tilburg team. After all, a top team also requires a top location. So what are the biggest changes?
More space and overview
Until recently, the entrance to the reception was located on the side of the building and the offices at the front. The disadvantage of this was that the customers had no view of the workshop from the reception area. That is about to change. The entrance to the reception is moved to the front, as is the driver's area. By using glass walls, the entrance becomes much clearer and the whole looks more spacious. Finally, we are creating more spacious workplaces for our service coordinators and parts specialists.
Three extra lines
In order to meet the increasing demand for maintenance and repair, the capacity of the workshop will be expanded with three work lines. Each line will be 20 meters long and in total there will be two grease pits. An overhead crane will also be installed, allowing us to carry out work on the superstructure of all trucks easily and safely.
New look
In addition to extra capacity in the workshop, more spacious workplaces and a new entrance, the entire building will literally be given a new look. The same grey façade cladding will be applied to the walls of BAS Tilburg, just like all the other BAS locations. This way the building fits in completely in the branding of BAS.
Do you want to work at a brand-new shop?
During the renovation, temporary units will be used to continue the work. This requires some adaptability and talent for improvisation from our employees, but we are confident that they can manage this. The completion is planned for the end of 2020. Do you want to work with a top team in our renewed service location in Tilburg? We are always looking for new talent!
