BAS World buys and sells more than 10.000 vehicles a year worldwide! We have ambitious growth plans and would like to broaden and extend our product range in order to grow even further. To achieve these plans, we are looking for an ambitious purchaser of commercial vehicles. It is a combination job, in which you will buy commercial vehicles both online and on location. The best of both worlds!

Your challenge

Since 1962, the name BAS has been an integral part of the Dutch vehicle industry. Our playing field was expanded significantly with the arrival of BAS Trucks - Europe's largest dealer in used commercial vehicles, based in Veghel. Our years of experience, passion, progressiveness and the enormous growth led us to lay the foundation for our Trusted Trade Platform: BAS World. A completely new, online platform where buyers and sellers can buy or sell new or used vehicles safely, quickly and with the highest level of trust.

Each week you will be on the road for a few days, visiting suppliers big and small to buy the best and highest quality commercial vehicles at the best prices. This will give you the opportunity to use your (English, French and/or German) purchasing skills. After all, our customers are international.
The other days of the week, you will be handling all incoming offers from new and existing suppliers who want to sell us their vehicle(s). As soon as an offer is received, you will decide whether we will purchase the vehicle directly or whether you will send a buyer to view and assess the vehicle on location. You are responsible for ensuring that all suppliers receive a response as quickly as possible and that the best deals are made. In addition, you will build a good network with regular suppliers. You approach existing and new suppliers by telephone, continuously search online for suitable company cars and ensure that we make optimum use of our network of suppliers. You determine the priorities for buyers, support them with data analyses and ensure that as much profit as possible is obtained from existing relationships. You record the most important and promising potential relationships per region and discuss them with the team. In doing so, you keep an overview using our CRM system. In addition, you will jointly determine which actions need to be taken to strengthen the relationship with suppliers.

  • Scouring websites for interesting vehicles and trying to buy them at the best possible conditions;
  • Handling and trying to buy offers from suppliers;
  • Building up and expanding your network of suppliers and purchasing channels;
  • Maintaining contacts with various suppliers in Europe;
  • Visiting suppliers in Europe (approximately 2 days per week);
  • Together with the marketing team, you ensure that the right suppliers are approached and triggered through marketing campaigns;
  • With your product and market knowledge, you support sales people in the sales process.

BAS Trucks

At BAS Trucks you are at the centre of the action. The office overlooks an area of the size of a few soccer fields, filled with tractors, trailers, trucks, tippers and combis. From Veghel they find their way to satisfied customers in more than a hundred countries, worldwide. Our passionate teams literally speak the language of the customer and arrange everything to ensure that the sales and transport process runs as smoothly as possible. They know their way around marketing, IT & Development, Finance & HR and are customer-friendly, innovative, energetic and driven. And above all: commercially competent! You want to belong to that. As a colleague at BAS Trucks you will work at (or on the site of) our modern headquarters in Veghel, which is located at Mac Arthurweg 2 in Veghel.
