Purchaser Commercial Vehicles – France
Your challenge
Our total range consists of 5 product groups, light commercial vehicles - trucks - rigids - trailers and machines. We purchase around 10,000 objects around the world every year. For our product groups we are looking for a Purchasing Specialist for the French region.
As a Purchaser of Commercial Vehicles you are the calling card of BAS in France. You are on the road in France every week to maintain and expand your network. Visiting, calling and emailing your network in time is the most important key to success in this position. Building a personal relationship with suppliers contributes greatly to this.
You are on the road in France on average 3 days a week to physically view and buy the vehicles. Together with our CRM department, you make a weekly route with active, but especially new suppliers. Current suppliers are mainly dealers, traders, auctions, leasing companies, transporters and construction companies.
You work very closely with our 5 product managers, who are all responsible for the used & new stock of vehicles. You are in constant contact with them about the prices and delivery conditions of the vehicles that you can purchase, it is then up to you to negotiate the best price and conditions.

Your task package
- Buying an average of 500 vehicles per year;
- Commercially maintain your network of suppliers;
- Expanding our current supplier purchasing network;
- Online search for vehicles on local marketplaces, auctions and at; leasing companies and then trying to buy them;
- Visit or contact the current supplier base in a timely manner in accordance with the set intervals.

Your specifications
- You have at least 3 years of commercial automotive work experience;
- You have a good command of the French, English and Dutch language;
- You like to be on the road a lot, on average 3 days a week;
- You are a commercial winner, see opportunities and negotiate the best price.
