Convert ideas into images and create simple designs that work.
Since October 2019, I have been switching between project managers, developers and marketers as a UX Designer to create the right user experience.
After my induction process, I immediately received my first project: the website you’re on now. Yep, the previous werkbijbas.com needed some refreshments. The site had to be taken to a higher level and breathe the culture of BAS. Today, the website is fast, user-friendly (also on mobile) and our BAS culture & colleagues play the leading role on the site. The website was a tough challenge and a playful way to get to know the company and the culture myself!
Since that kickstart, I have been going full throttle at BAS! For example, I am currently working on an app for a new platform, but I can just as easily switch to a Photoshop challenge for my sales colleagues or a concept for a new marketing campaign.
""At BAS I have not been bored for a single moment (and I don’t have a long attention span...). I am currently working on various large projects, but also on small successes. That variety gives me energy and keeps me sharp and motivated.''
This is what motivates me
The diversity in assignments. From conversion and UX-oriented questions, to small urges for one of our web shops. Need an icon? No problem; I’ll make for you! I am in my element when I can switch between challenging issues (or quickly make colleagues happy). At BAS I have not been bored for a single moment (and I don’t have a long attention span...). I am currently working on various large projects, but also on small successes. That variety gives me energy and keeps me sharp and motivated.
… the site where you are now! But also the new website of our mining trucks, www.basminingtrucks.com
. Once again, a full redesign, with our grand mining trucks in the lead role. A site where we show what we can do and what we have already done. A user-friendly site where you logically navigate between projects and associated equipment. And… where potential customers can directly reach out to us if they are interested. The latter is already delivering great results because we’re experiencing a surge in enquiries after going live, and that makes me proud. The moment you know that your design works and is understood by the target group. The same applies of course to this website, otherwise you would not be reading my own journey at BAS. ;-)
